What we collect
When you send an enquiry
The contact and quote forms send us what you type: your name, company, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, the product you ask about, and your message. We also record the page you sent it from and the page that referred you, so we know which product you were reading.
When you open WhatsApp from this site
When you tap a WhatsApp button we record that the click happened, with a short reference code that is added to the message. We store the page you landed on, the pages you viewed in that visit, how long you stayed, the website that referred you, any campaign tags in the link, your browser language, time zone and screen size. If you type a name or number into the optional box, we store that too. This helps us match your WhatsApp message to the product you were looking at.
What we do not collect
- We do not run advertising trackers or sell data to anyone.
- We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. The site keeps a few short-lived values in your browser’s session storage (landing page, referrer, time of arrival) so the WhatsApp record above can be built. They are cleared when you close the tab.
- We do not ask for payment details, passwords or identity documents on this website.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and send a quote or sample details.
- To check who we are selling to. Tobacco leaf is a regulated product, and we may ask a buyer for company registration and licence details. See the health and compliance notice.
- To keep a record of orders and correspondence for accounts, shipping and customs paperwork.
- To see which pages lead to enquiries, so we can improve the site.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries and, once an order is placed, the contract between us and the buyer. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it.
Who sees it
Enquiries are stored in our own customer-records system on a server we control, and are visible only to the staff who answer them. We share details with a shipping agent, customs broker, bank or inspection company only where a confirmed order needs it. We do not sell or rent contact details. If a regulator or court legally requires it, we may have to disclose records.
Our offices are in Pakistan and Belgium, so your details may be processed in either country.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept for up to two years so a returning buyer does not have to start again. Records of orders, invoices and shipping documents are kept for as long as accounting and customs law in the relevant country requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the details we hold, correct them, or delete them, and you can ask us to stop contacting you. Email sales@jktabak.com from the address you used and we will reply within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK and are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your local data-protection authority.
Links to other sites
This site links to outside sites, for example WhatsApp, JobsIslamabad.com and public health and customs bodies. They have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Changes
If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and the date at the top. The current version is always the one on this URL.
